Brave: Instagram Bikini Model Live Streams Her Butt Lift To Empower Women To "Get Their Bodies Back"

I came into work today really itching to write something that was going to make society better in some way, whether it be to educate them, enlighten them, lift their spirits. I was 3 hours into some deep analysis on Rudy Giuliani’s phone call with The Atlantic and how it dovetailed with the current state of the White House in the midst of impeachment, when it dawned on me: it’s Friday, let’s not bring people down with another polemical blog about the contentious topic of partisan politics – let’s inspire them instead.
So I X’ed out of my News app, the Daily Kos, Euguene Gu, MD’s Twitter account, the Reddit “Explain It Like I’m 5″ page for “Politics” and the Wikipedia page for “whistle-blowing” and turned to my most reliable source of inspirational and stirring, poignant stories: the New York Post.
And that’s how I ended up on the incredible account of Kourtney Reppert – model, actress, motivator, and supermom – live streaming a butt lift to her 1.5 million Instagram followers.
Now, this is cheeky.
A bikini model allowed a plastic surgery clinic to livestream her butt lift on Instagram as part of a morbid publicity stunt.
The Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center shared the footage in an Instagram story showing model Kourtney Reppert lying on a table, getting a Sculptra butt lift.
The entire hellscape was made more surreal by the fact that the surgery took place as A-list guests including Teresa Giudice partied at the clinic. [NY POST]
Like most Instagram Models, this was NOT about getting attention, but something much bigger:
Reppert, a mother of one, says she decided to broadcast the surgery because she believed it would be an empowering statement to other moms trying to get their bodies back.
“I feel that after having a child, it’s hard enough for women to have these body issues and these expectations in society to be perfect,” she told the DailyMail. “But then when we try to attain that we get attacked or people say, ‘Do it the natural way’ or whatever. And sometimes you just can’t do it the natural way. You need a little bit of an extra hand.”
And she wasn’t just brave enough to do it in front of a cell phone camera for an IG Live stream – she had all her closest D-List celebrity friends over and did that shit LIVE smack dab in the middle of a party.
While the VIP onlookers enjoyed drinks, nibbles and a DJ set, Instagram model Kourtney Reppert had her bum revamped behind a shop-front window during the event held last night in Los Angeles.
Glad there’s still some good in the world and things to uplift us, not just phone calls to sitting duck, road apple, weak, feeble large countries in Eastern Europe known for their Orthodox Churches*.
